Make AI Do the Thinking: the 3 prompts, word for word

These are the 3 prompts from the video, word for word, with the blanks filled in so you can paste them straight into ChatGPT, Claude or any AI. Use them in order, in the same chat.

Prompt 1: Tell it what's costing you time

Start with the problem, not a tool. Be specific about the work that eats your week.

Copy this inHere's my business: [what you sell, who you sell it to, and how many people are on your team]. Here's what's taking most of my time: [the 2 or 3 tasks that eat your week]. Figure out a way to automate this for me.

Don't take the first answer yet. Go straight to Prompt 2.

Prompt 2: Make it interview you

This is the one most people skip. Without it, AI guesses. With it, AI understands your business before it gives you a single recommendation.

Copy this inBefore you answer, ask me questions one at a time until you understand my business.

Answer each question in a sentence or two. When it stops asking, it knows enough to help.

Prompt 3: Ask for the plan

Now turn what it learned into something your team can actually do.

Copy this inGive me a step-by-step plan my team can follow, starting with the first thing to do this week.

Pick the first step and do it this week. Then come back to the same chat and ask for the next one.

When you get stuck

  • The answer is too generic? Type: "That could be for any business. Use what you learned about mine and make it specific."
  • The plan is too big? Type: "Cut this down to the one thing that saves me the most time in the next 7 days."
  • You don't know how to set something up? Type: "Walk me through it click by click. Assume I'm not technical."
